Our Family Business History
ATENEA LLC carries forward a proud family heritage that began in 1984 when Domingo De Lucia and Miriam Di Vora founded ArtQuimia C.A. in Venezuela. What started as a passion for quality art supplies has grown into a multi-generational legacy spanning over four decades.
In 2011, the family expanded internationally to Miami, Florida, bringing their expertise and commitment to quality to artists across the Americas. Today, ATENEA represents the next chapter of this journey under second-generation leadership—brothers Ivan and Dante De Lucia—who blend traditional craftsmanship with fresh innovation.
At the heart of our business is our premium canvas collection. From versatile roll canvases to professionally stretched options, each piece is crafted with the same attention to detail that has defined our family for 41 years. We also manufacture a complete line of proprietary oil, acrylic, craft, and body paints, along with artist brushes, mediums, and sketch pads—but our canvas remains our pride and passion.
